Leaders from the Salaj County Prefecture announced that the water from public fountains in Zalău will undergo re-testing.
This measure is part of routine checks to ensure water safety for residents.
During a recent meeting, representatives from the sanitary authorities highlighted that nearly all fountains in the city currently have ammonia levels exceeding the permissible limits.
The authorities emphasized the importance of these tests to prevent health risks.
To inform the public, all fountains have been fitted with informational plaques.
